This is what we've been waiting for... the return of the Daleks. Actually, the return of just one Dalek, but let's not complain because the reappearance of TV's most famous alien is a big TV event. Still looking like the result of an affair between an old dustbin and an air-conditioning unit, the Dalek is now able to el-e-vate up stairs, which is dead handy for ex-ter-min-ating the henchmen of a villain taken from the James Bond catalogue of barking billionaires. So, can the Doctor outwit his Dalek arch-enemy once again? Let's hope so, though fingers crossed we've not seen the last of the metal monster as we'd love a showdown between the Daleks and a troupe of TV's most irritating makeover gurus: 'You must Co-or-din-ate and Ex-fo-li-ate — or we will Ex-ter-min-ate.' ★★★★
