Dear Sir/Madam:

We like to record Doctor Who every week, and have had trouble in the past during Festival weeks, because of the program being extended after being broken up for announcements. This year, we were very pleased to see in Focus a list of the times of pledge drive interruptions. What a shame they didn't happen that way. We extended our recording time by 20-30 minutes, and still missed the end of three Doctor Who episodes.

Please, please, make your time table accurate, or don't do it at all. It just gave us a false sense of security, and added to our disappointment when we missed the ends of the shows.

Gail and Mike Howard,

McMinnville

"Who Night"

Dear OPB:

The last two years, my husband and I have not been able to go out together because of our handicapped child. So we have made a big deal out of what we call "Who Night." After we put the kids to bed, we make a special dessert, or popcorn, and watch Dr. Who together. We also watch Mystery! and have long debates as to who we think did the dastardly deed and why.

We now have a little more freedom to go out to movies, but what amazes me is that we'd much rather stay home and watch OPB. That's a tribute to your quality programming.

Karen Tackett,

Portland
