Daphne Heard, 77, British character actress whose career spanned 60 years, died June 22 in. Bristol, Eng., after a series of heart attacks earlier this year.

Films included Laurence Olivier's production of "Three Sisters," "Goodbye Gemini" and "Triple Echo." Her stage work included appearances with the National Theatre of Britain, and among her numerous video credits were "Upstairs, Downstairs" and "Dr. Who."

A widow, she left no immediate survivors.
