What news could possibly be better than the fact that Doctor Who is coming hack to TV in a couple of years' time? How about the rumour that the brilliant Bill Nighy is in the running for the part of the Doctor? I think he'd be a superb choice—unless Paul McGann is given the chance for a well deserved return, of course.
Other actors of a suitable calibre that come to mind include David Warner and Jim Broadbent— just as long as no one from soapland or the world of comedy/quiz shows is cast. That mistake has been made before.
If only I had a Tardis to travel forward to 2005!
