I saw in a recent issue of Look-in that you would like to see photograpohs of models that anyone has made. So a little while ago I began work on a life-sized Dalek from the BBC TV series Dr. Who.
It is made mostly from a wooden frame covered with hardboard. The head is made from an old De-Luxe Hoover cut in half. Altogether it took me three weeks to make and cost me only £1.35. It moves on castors and can be controlled from inside.
Mark Pickering (aged 15), Leek, Staffs.
What an excellent model, Mark — I hope it doesn't exterminate, though! A £3 postal order and junior reporter's certificate are winging their way to you for your splendid effort.
