SIR - Much as I enjoyed Saturday's episode of the new Doctor Who (report, Mar 26), writer Russell T Davies should have known that mannequins are made of plaster, not plastic, so would not have responded to the plastic-manipulating monster's evil plan.

SIR - I sat down to watch Doctor Who with a degree of trepidation and, when Billie Piper mentioned her "lo'ery ticket" within the first 10 minutes, I had to make my excuses and leave, unable to stand it.
